This is a great little router if you need something beyond the typical SOHO type products. I bought it because I have a small subnet and can pass public IP addresses through on one port while using the other ports with a private network via NAT and set up appropriate firewall rules as necessary. It would also be good if you want to set up two isolated (or partly isolated wifi networks) to keep IoT devices separate from the rest of one's network.
As an inexpensive device it would be great for anyone wanting to learn more about networking. (Indeed one could buy two and explore all sorts of networking concepts).
While there is a large manual downloadable from Ubiquiti, if one wants to do more than simple things, then one will probably want to use the CLI and will spent quite a bit of time on the Ubiquiti site and forums to get help.
Obviously in a typical situation one will need an wireless access point as well.
