I'm using this to connect to a similar device a bit of a distance from me, and it does it perfectly. I then connect to my laptop via ethernet and receive almost the same speed as the serving bridge gets. When I try a wifi connection I lose about 75%, from 70mbs download via ethernet to around 15mbs via wifi. Not sure why there is such a drop but I knew this would happen before purchase as a friend does a similar thing. So if you're happy with an ethernet connection as I am, then this device is great value for money.
