I ordered 2 x Ubiquiti NanoStations M5 to extend network coverage from my house to a studio in the garden roughly 75 feet away.
After a bit of fiddling around I was able to test the system without installing them on the exterior of either the house or studio. The reception and speed were so good I decided to us them both from behind respective windows and through a very large rhododendron bush which saved me the effort of drilling, filling and clipping cables through and to walls etc.
I'm fairly network savvy, but by no means an expert, and concluded the best way to configure the NanoStations was to used fixed IP addresses and a hidden SSID.
All in all, and so far, everything is working great and far cheaper the digging a trench for CAT5 cable.
