Ubiquiti offer a series of intelligent switching products to help run your network. The Ubiquiti switches range include the UniFi Switch and EdgeMax EdgeSwitch products. The switches can connect devices together on a computer network by using packet switching to receive, process, and forward data to the destination device. Model	Switching Capacity i "Switching Capacity" refers to the total data throughput for the switch - for example, a 16 gigabit port switch with a switching capacity of 16Gbps means that the switch can handle all 16 ports at full speed.	Forwarding Rate i "forwarding Rate" refers to the total number of packets the Switch can forward between the ports per second.	Non-Blocking Throughput i This refers to the total throughput of the switch, assuming no packets are being blocked - IE if a packet is waiting to be sent down a port, other packets will be waiting in line for the same port and therefore blocked.	Gigabit RJ45 Ports i The number of IEEE 802.3 ethernet ports with RJ-45 connectivity, capable of 1Gbps the switch has.	SFP/SFP+ Ports i The number of Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) ports the switch has. SFP is typically capable of 1Gbps throughput, whereas SFP+ generally allows for higher throughputs.	Sound Level* (dBr) i The maximum amount of sound energy the unit emits during normal operation, measured in Decibels relative to a reference (dBr).	Max.
