First of all, 4Gon have suprised me with an excellent level of product knowledge and pre-sales advice. I will most definately be buying from them again. Secondly, these Ubiquity UniFi access points are brilliant. I spent 3 days trying to sucessfully setup Cisco WAP4410N access points in Infrastructure mode. After many problems with them locking up, I took to the Cisco forums to find that they are notorious for firmware problems. On the recommendation of an associate, I looked into the UniFi access points. I ordered the three-pack, which was delivered in excellent time. It took me 20 minutes to achieve what had taken me 3 days to fail with the Cisco APs. They are so simple (although feature rich) and the range is excellent. Plus they look a lot nicer than any other AP on the market (which is a real considration when you're putting them in a modern office space). The only downside I could possibly see is that they are limited to 4 SSID/VLANs, although this is plenty for most deployments.
I would (and have) highly reccomend them to anyone looking to deploy wireless anywhere. They are so scalable they are just as suited to your home as they are in a 100,000 sq ft office/factory facility (which is where I have them). They are priced to compete with the likes of Netgear home-class devices but deliver everything you get from £1000+ solutions (parituclarly as the intuative software takes the place of expensive hardware controllers).
I can notfault them. If you're thinking about getting them then get them. Even if you're thinking about getting something else, get these instead. You wont be sorry.
