Having first looked at the usual suspects i.e. Meraki/Aerohive and even some D-link AP-900s we stumbled across Ubiquiti. So far the UniFi APs have met all of our needs and at a fantastic price point.
Just to clear the point up, only the UniFi Pro supports 802.3af (POE), if you go for the UniFi AP (base model) I'd advise buying the 802.3af indoor adapter with your initial purchase if you want to make use of your current PoE switches (if you have them), this is essential for ceiling installs in my opinion.
Other than that, they do come with a PoE injector (requiring mains power) which works well.
The controller (Windows/Linux/Mac) based whilst not as flexible as Meraki's cloud controller is still really easy to use, and does the job for our relatively small office.
I'd highly recommend Ubiquiti UniFi to anyone considering a WiFi solution.
