I have to say that I was dubious that any WAP could do what I wanted, but I was wrong. This device really is rock solid, and outperforms any wireless router I've had. What a BTHub 3 failed to do in the same room as a wireless printer (i.e. keep seamlessly connected) the Unifi UAP does through two brick walls, one of which is double thickness.
You might be interested to know that the WAP is connected to the Hub (with wireless turned off of course) via Devolo homeplugs, since the main telephone access point to the house is at one end. so the WAP sits in the centre og our house. It works brilliantly. For the first time, FaceTime via the iPad now works anywhere in the house.
