After detailed research I decided to go for the Ubiquiti. I have tried a number of cheaper AP's designed for home use, all of which regularly drop connections or require rebooting every few days.
Not so with the Ubiquti, setup was simple and It has been running for 3 weeks now with no drop outs and no reboots required.
As previously mentioned it is quite large but it is mounted on the wall in our dining room and has passed the 'the wife is ok with it' test. In fact it looks quite cool with the green led ring, although this can be turned off using the included software.
Having a POE injector included is great, making installation simple.
All round I would recommend the Ubiquiti to anyone wanting a reliable AP.
