Wireless Scanners perform on-demand scanning and 24x7 monitoring of wireless activity at locations where they are installed. They securely transfer the wireless scan data to the server using industry standard encryption techniques. Wireless scanner devices are also popularly known as simply "Sensors".

Wireless Scanner – Zero Config Installation

Wireless scanners (Sensors) are installed in zero-config mode. Plug Sensors into an available Ethernet port that provides DHCP access. Set up a DNS entry ‘WiFi-security-server’ pointing to the IP address of the server. Sensors will automatically connect to the server and you will see all its 4 LEDs go green.

Secure Wireless Scanner to Server Communication

Wireless scanner communicates securely (using industry standard AES encryption) with the server over UDP port 3851. Port 3851 is specially assigned by IEEE to AirTight Networks. Sensor upgrades are conducted over HTTP port 80.
