LightPointe AireBeam G60 Dual Path 60 GHz Point-to-Point Backhaul Link
The LightPointe 60 GHz point-to-point radios now include our exclusive DualPath™ Always-On technology, for industry-leading reliability. The DualPath feature automatically selects the best frequency for the atmospheric conditions present, primarily operating in Gigabit capacity 60 GHz and, if necessary, switching to backup mode (a range of 5 GHz frequencies). This provides unparalleled performance and reliability advantages compared to competing solutions. If desired, the 60 GHz radio can also be connected to an alternative backup radio, such as a customer’s slower wireless bridge already in use; this upgrades the customer to GigE, protects their previous investment, and provides automatic backup.
A secondary, integrated 5GHz ISM band back-up radio is included.

The AireBeam product line represents the latest innovation in millimeter wave (MMW), point-to-point outdoor wireless Ethernet connectivity. The G60 operates in the 59..63 GHz frequenciy spectrum, authorized for unlicensed outdoor point-to-point operation in Australia and several European countries. The G60 is designed to comply with all relevant sections of the harmonized ETSI 302-217 standard, ratified in late 2009.
The Airebeam G60 series is targeted at Enterprise LAN customers and Service Providers seeking a cost-effective, easy-to-install, high-performance alternative to leased lines when connecting buildings, campuses or other remotelocations. Other target applications include, but are not limited to, “Last Mile” metropolitan area network (MAN) access, mobile wireless backhaul, and security/video surveillance.
Operating close to full-duplex GbE speed and at optical fiber-like system latency, the Airebeam G60 system is ideal for bandwidth-intensive, realtime, and mission critical applications such as Voice-over-IP, medical imaging, CAD/graphic design and video.
